Easydry’s managing director, Anne Butterly, has been named Businesswoman of the Year in the Louth County Enterprise Board Awards within days of being shortlisted in two categories in the prestigious Green Awards. The final of the Green Awards will take place on 14 April.

“It is hugely satisfying to be recognised for the work we have done and the success we have achieved to date,” said Anne, who invented the Easydry environmentally friendly disposable towel more than six years ago. “But our success in helping reduce the collective carbon footprint of the industry is only possible due to the vision and enthusiasm of individual salons which have embraced the Easydry Eco-Towel as a cost-effective way of reducing the burden towels place on the environment and on the day-to-day running of a salon.”

Easydry is shortlisted for Green Innovation and Green Entrepreneur in recognition of its drive to create eco-friendly solutions for hairdressers and other towel-dependent sectors such as beauty and gyms. Every Easydry towel is completely natural, made with constant regard for its environmental impact at every step of sourcing, production and delivery. Easydry also simplifies salon life, freeing staff from the relentless drudgery of laundering, folding and stacking towels, one of the most hated jobs in any salon.
