Going Easy at WorldSkills

Easydry, inventor and manufacturer of eco-friendly disposable towels, has put its full support behind the ultimate vocational skills competition, WorldSkills London 2011. Easydry International, which makes premium-end and ecologically conscious disposable towels and other products that guarantee hygiene and reduce the daily grind of laundry, is sponsoring the hair and beauty sector within the competition.

Now in its 41st year, WorldSkills celebrates the skill and craftsmanship within a variety of professions, including beauty. Hundreds of apprentices and trainees from around the world will gather at ExCel, London to showcase their skills and compete for gold. Approximately 150,000 visitors are expected at the four day spectacular, which takes place between 5-8 October.

“We are delighted to support this amazing event as Easydry believes investment in the future of the industry, by nurturing its up-and-coming talent, is essential," said Anne Butterly, Easydry’s global CEO. "We will be providing the organisation with a steady supply of towels throughout the competition to ensure participants have access to the best products available."

Throughout the event, competitors will use convenient and absorbent Easydry instead of expensive cotton towels that quickly become scratchy and can harbour germs. Less bulky and lighter, they are much more comfortable for the model or client, and, being 100 per cent biodegradable and recyclable, are more eco-friendly than constantly laundering cotton towels.

Famed for its disposable towels, Easydry has grown enormously over the past two years, launching divisions around the world and a variety of new towel-based products. The company, which already supports the Habia Skills Team and the Fellowship, has been the recipient of six awards in the past two years for innovation and sustainability.
